As
attorneys for you, the damaged plaintiff,
we will have to be able to prove that the
other side
is legally responsible for your damages and
prove precisely what your damages are.
When you are
interviewed by us for the first time, we obtain
as much general information as possible "Do not
give written, recorded or oral statements to anyone." concerning
the accident itself and the injuries sustained.
Based on your interview, we make decisions
as to what steps are necessary to establish
the other side's responsibility for the accident.
An investigation as to legal responsibility
may
be as simple as obtaining reports or may involve
obtaining detailed interviews with any witnesses.
Also, photographs and other records may be
required
to establish legal responsibility.
With regard to your damages, medical providers
will be contacted and records copied. The proof
of loss of earnings will require documentation
through employer's bookkeeping records, tax returns,
etc.
